Catherine is a gifted artist... and what she captured for us Wednesday afternoon is undeniably priceless. She posted a few of the photos to her own family blog on Friday (and more on Saturday) and sent me a link to view all 467 shots on Saturday.
John and I looked at all 467 photos Saturday evening and he is, just as I am, absolutely blown away by the gift she's given us. These aren't just photos.. they're art. They show the essence of our children... their spirits... their joy... their love for life, each other, for us and our love for them. Catherine captured that in a way that is indescribable and priceless. Their light shines through these photos (especially Miss Gracie) in a way that I have always hoped to capture, but with the clarity and artistic eye that I never could myself. The Gracie that John and I see and feel but often can't easily photograph - - her energy, her light, her life - - is shining bright in these photos.
At some point, I will share more of our favorites on our blog, but for now, feel free to have a sneak peek on her blog and also check out her photography site.
And if you're even remotely near the Southern California area, don't miss your opportunity to have Catherine capture amazing moments of your family.

Absolutely Stunning! I am speechless! Your family becomes more and more beautiful each day. Your friend is an amazing photographer. (amazing is an understatement, really!) Gorgeous!
She AWAYS takes beautiful pictures and you do have a beautiful family to take pictures of so I am sure it was not hard to get great photos.

Absolutely Amazing, Beautiful, Priceless Pics!

Be still my heart. Absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to see more!
I'm so glad you posted those pics of Gracie as I loved them too, Gracie's energy in them. She really did have a happy day, didn't she and Preston too and I can't describe how happy that makes me feel. I saw so much in Gracie, spending time watching her, having fun with her and the one I entitled Gracie's World (b/w with a spot colour), captured my feelings for her, how she truly lights up a room and draws you in. Truly, thanks for this...Cx
I saw the pics on Catherine's site. They are just gorgeous! I love the first one you have posted here of Gracie. So poignantly beautiful.
Kristi! Those pics made me cry! They are indeed pieces of art. The angles, light, expressions, and perspectives that she captured are just incredible (and I told her so on her blog -thanks for the link :) ...YOU have never looked more beautiful. I love the one of you and Gracie looking at eachother and the dark one of the "I love you" sign w/Preston (how on earth did she shoot that one?) And the laundry one made me smile ...all of them felt like a peek into your life and new home there in LA ...what an amazing gift. I MISS YOU SOOO MUCH! I'm sorry the phone tag has been, for lack of a better word, sucking lately. :( And even more sorry to hear about your horrible, heartbreaking + STUPIDLY frustrating trip to Shriners down there ...and that Gracie's had a tough weekend ...and week(s). That poor angel. :( I'm glad you all got to stay in, though, and bond with that beautiful nephew of yours - oh my gosh, what a doll! Get that picture off of here because it makes me twinge to want another baby and I swear we're done! :) hee hee Love you all SO much. Huge peanut butter kisses (love the Jiff - we eat it, too! :) to all of you. Barecca Jane
