Cool Rider
Today, Preston rode his tricycle around the neighborhood - - total distance was 3/4 of a mile. He wore the helmet for another 30 minutes or so while he played with other toys... because he knows how cool it is to wear a helmet!
(He points out people who are riding their bikes without helmets and says, "Naughty... no helmet!")
In other news, Miss Gracie had her best walking session at therapy today! Some days she doesn't want to walk at all. Today was not one of those days.
She controlled turns, got stuck and un-stuck and traveled her longest distance to date. She got to make the decisions about where she wanted to walk and I know that sense of freedom and control only fueled her strength today.
It was a good day.

Yay for good days! I can just imagine Miss Gracie on her longest walk yet!
Thank goodness our girlies love school so much, huh? Katie brought her backpack to me Saturday morning and took me to the door. I know she would go to school 7 days a week if they had it!
HOORAY for a good day, and this sounds like an awesome one.
Preston is quite the athlete, isn't he? He looks so cute in his helmet (and tell him I think the same thing when I see people riding without helmets - "naughty!" :-))
Kristi, my heart soars imagining Gracie on her longest walk yet (like Leslie, I can just see it in my mind's eye!). Beautiful, just beautiful!
Kristi, I just saw your comment on Katie's blog and had to tell you that we do "car picnics" too! We sometimes even take the middle seat out of our van and put blankets down on the floor, and then we all sit there and eat, just like a picnic! Funny how we learn to adapt, isn't it? :-)
I wish we lived closer to each other--we could have some fun adventures together with our girls!
I love good days! That is such great news about Gracie's walking :O) Preston is just too cute... and such a talker
