The weekend before Nana and Papa visited was my brother and sister-in-law's couples baby shower. Since we have moved several hundred miles away and since we didn't know that John would have that day off until the afternoon before the shower, it was impossible for me (or any of us) to be there. It was an event that I so longed to attend and I was completely bummed that day, constantly looking at the clock and thinking about where I wished I could be. To take my mind off of things and to cure the kids' cabin fever following several days of rain, we went to lunch at the beach and then played in the sand. It was a wonderful afternoon - - Gracie's second lunch out at a restaurant in a week and a perfect cure to the endless wiggles that had been plaguing Preston! After the kids were sufficiently worn out from playtime, we walked around old town, had coffee and meandered through the beautiful beach-side streets.
It was a wonderful afternoon.

Oh how nice!! We got to go out yesterday also. It was so nice and Eva enjoyed her time at the park.
Sorry you missed the shower tho, I know the feeling since I do not live close to home anymore either.
Hugs,
Crystal and Eva
I just love love love the pics as usual. My favorites are of Gracie with the shades and preston running around on the beach. They are all just so cute though! Glad you were able to get out, have fun and take your mind off of not being able to attend the baby shower. We got out again in the sand a few days ago. We have had a beautiful week here but Cameron has the yuckies :0/ so we couldn't get out yesterday. Hope ya'll have a great weekend.

LOVE, love, love the cuties in their shades! So sweet. You day at the beach looks like so much fun. Gracie's cute feet and toes remind me so much of my Vivian's.
I love that the four of you enjoyed such a lovely afternoon - out to lunch, wiggle toes in sand, coffee and walk around a cute town - that is so my cup of tea!
Love the sunglasses picture! I miss you guys so much--I want to plan a trip to see you as soon as things calm down here. Hugs and Kisses always!
Love your day-at-the-beach pictures! What a nice way to spend the day!
I loved your comment about Katie looking like Randy in "A Christmas Story." That is one of my favorite movies of all time! That would be her selfless daddy who took her walking that day. Mommy doesn't do cold-weather walks, even for her Sweet Katie! :-)
Happy 35th Birthday!
