This is not what I thought I'd post today.
We actually had many sources of happiness today... once again in our backyard enjoying another beautiful day. We painted with paint and with water, played ball, had a picnic on a giant beach towel, colored on the back wall with chalk, blew bubbles, squeezed fresh orange juice (for about the tenth day in a row). We breathed in more than our share of fresh air and soaked up plenty of Vitamin D... and it was all very happy.
None of it, though, as happy as this:
Tonight, with my left hand in her right hand, Gracie walked about ten feet.
That is to say, my sweet girl walked holding only one of my hands. Happiness.
Whether this is a one-time phenomenon that we won't see for a while or the budding of a new gross-motor skill, one thing is certain... it happened. It's no longer a "yet."

Ok..so I just shared with Hannah that, after a long day I wanted to check in on everyone and can I just say how great our God is, because after Hannah's blog I stopped by yours and shed so many happy tears!! Gracie walked ten feet, YAAY!! I think the nurse looked at me strange when I read it, because I made a happy laugh. :) So amazing!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all your January posts and pictures. I'm feeling so happy inside, thank you for sharing your "happy moments." I feel so blessed that I was able to read all your happiness you have found this January and to be able to share your joy with you.

OH, MY GOODNESS! OH, my goodness, oh, my goodness! Yes, yes, yes! This is big time happiness. This is a beautiful milestone that I am picturing in my mind with a very full, very joyful heart. You go, Gracie girl!
That brings such happy tears to my eyes as I read your blog just now. I can imagine how much hapiness that brought to your heart, Kristi. Good job Gracie! That is so neat :O)

Kristi, I'm loving all your "happiness" posts--especially this one!! I can just picture you and Gracie walking hand-in-hand, and it brings a HUGE smile to my face! So glad Gracie is able to take the bus to school again too.
I love the videos of Preston dancing and fighting sleep--too precious!

How utterly amazing and gorgeous. Congratulations Gracie. Wish I'd seen this earlier, wish I hadn't been so busy, can't wait to see it in person. It's not a one time phenomonen. She has the power and she's on a very high rung of the ladder!
